During this week’s episode of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair slipped and injured both her knee and head while wrestling Asuka. As this happened when the show was on a commercial break, most fans watching were unaware, as the second-generation star bravely battled on. However, it has since been confirmed she needed help getting to the back, and PWInsider.com has now reported she was pulled from both her scheduled house show matches this weekend.
“Charlotte Flair was originally scheduled for this weekend’s WWE live events but was pulled after being hurt while wrestling Asuka on Friday Night Smackdown.”
PWInsider.comIn the past, WWE has used injury angles to write Flair off television for extended periods of time for her to undergo surgery on her breast implants and teeth. Yet, this time, it appears she is legitimately hurt, which is terrible timing considering it is almost WrestleMania season, and it had been teased she could be one of Jade Cargill’s first opponents.
