Knox County Pays Big Money To Settle Lawsuit Following Allegations Made About Mayor Glenn Jacobs’ Conduct

Most fans know that Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs is the republican mayor of Knox County. However, for the most part, wrestling news media simply covers his wrestling career. Now though, that has changed after it’s been reported the WWE Hall of Famer’s conduct resulted in Knox County settling a lawsuit out of court for $150,000. This was because he was accused of asking for county employees to remove a snake from his private residence, asking a department head to lie about his chief of staff’s use of a country-owned golf cart, and cursing at them when they refused. It should, though, be noted a spokesperson has denied the claims.

Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs asked county employees to work at his home while they were on the clock, pressured a department head to lie to state investigators and cursed at him when he wouldn’t do it, according to a federal lawsuit the county settled by agreeing to pay $150,000 to former parks and recreation director Paul White.

Whether this will affect Jacobs’ popularity with voters remains to be seen. As while he is in his second term, he only won this time with 55% of the vote, a staggering 22% drop from four years earlier. Nevertheless, as far as wrestling fans go, Kane’s popularity, at least on social media, has plummeted due to his right-wing political takes, with even other wrestlers like X-Pac, Mick Foley, and Adam Page all calling him out in the past.
