Kenny Omega Comments On The Elite’s Full Gear Entrance

Tony Khan was forced to suspend the Elite after they got into a backstage fight with CM Punk and Ace Steel at All Out. However, with the investigation into the situation concluded, all three men returned at Full Gear, entering to the epic Kansas song “Carry on Wayward Son.” And while the trio would lose to Death Triangle after Rey Fénix struck Omega with a hammer, the former AEW World Champion was clearly just happy to be back, as he took to Twitter and called the entrance one of his favorites.

The Young Bucks recently tried to trademark “Wayward Sons” seemingly as an alternative nickname to The Elite, yet abandoned their application shortly afterward. And while it’s unknown precisely why they did this, someone who owns the trademark in a different class likely raised concerns over confusion in the marketplace. Nevertheless, it never stopped the trio from entering the song, with Tony Kahn having repeatedly proven he isn’t averse to paying to license music when the circumstances call for it.

It’s also worth noting that while The Elite lost, AEW has now announced a best-of-seven series between themselves and Death Triangle, with the Full Gear match counting as match 1. And obviously, while not guaranteed, it seems inevitable the series will go to match seven, which, if this is the case, will take place on the January 14th episode of Dynamite in Los Angeles.
