Kayla Becker, known to wrestling fans as Kayla Braxton, left WWE last year after deciding to pursue opportunities that weren’t available to her while under contract with the company. Subsequently, she launched an acting career and started a YouTube channel to discuss the latest horror movies.
However, she has now revealed on X that she owes “way more in taxes than I expected” ahead of next month’s tax deadline. Still, she managed to display her sense of humor by saying, “The IRS can have my dignity,” while bringing up Belle Delphine, who sold her bathwater for $30 a bottle, as well as reality TV’s Stephanie Matto, who claims to have made $200,000 from selling her farts in a jar.
Until last year, 33-year-old Becker had been with WWE since 2016, initially debuting as a ring announcer for NXT. From there, she became a regular backstage interviewer on numerous pay-per-views before permanently departing NXT and joining the main roster in August 2019. Additionally, she memorably co-hosted WWE’s popular online interview show, The Bump, although she would eventually leave this role to focus on her other WWE responsibilities.
And while there were claims immediately after news broke that she was leaving WWE that she may be headed to AEW, she would promptly shut that talk down by tweeting, “If I wanted to keep working in wrestling, I wouldn’t be walking away from the largest wrestling company in the world.”
