Kayla Braxton Apologizes For Her Tweet Regarding Aaron Carter’s Death

On Saturday afternoon, it was sadly reported that singer and actor Aaron Carter had passed away aged just 34. And since then, his considerable fanbase, many of whom were teenagers during his heyday, have been paying tribute. Among them was WWE backstage interviewer Kayla Braxton who would take to Twitter saying, “Damn. RIP Aaron Carter 🙁 addiction is a horrible sickness. I hate he wasn’t able to beat it.” However, this has resulted in her receiving a great deal of backlash, as with no cause of death yet revealed, many felt her assuming it was drug-related was inappropriate. Subsequently, she deleted the tweet and apologized for spreading false information.

People on Twitter, particularly wrestling fans on the platform, are quick to jump on anyone they disagree with. And Braxton is no stranger to this, as she has at least twice felt the need to deactivate her account after being harassed. Once when she revealed, she had caught the rona for a second time and again when she came out as bisexual. Ultimately though, when someone with highly published drug issues is found dead in their bathtub, it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility it was drug-related. So while it’s never good to assume or spread false info, it’s really not worth taunting someone on social media over.
