Karrion Kross Reveals Whether Talents Are Concerned About Their Jobs Following Vince McMahon’s WWE Return

Being a pro wrestler in WWE is never a secure job, as anyone can be released with 90 days’ notice, with it being only 30 days if on an NXT contract. And over the past few years, a record number of talents have been released due to budget cuts under Vince McMahon’s watch. Therefore once he returned to the company, many believed it was only a matter of time before firings commenced, especially with Triple H bringing so many previously released talents back.

Now though, who speaking to the San Antonio Express-News, Karrion Kross, one of those released and subsequently rehired, has shared how his friends in the locker room are taking the situation. Confirming that nobody is really concerned about their jobs, and everyone is trying to remain optimistic.

It’s in my news feeds, it’s everywhere. It’s inescapable at this point, but the people that I have spoken to about it, like my personal friends in the business, no one’s really concerned or afraid for their job. All of us are ready to adapt…. I think everyone’s just taking it day by day to see where everything lands, and we’re all trying to remain optimistic.

Kross looked like a future WWE main eventer in NXT, and some speculated it was only a matter of time before he shared a ring with the likes of Roman Reigns. However, upon being called up to the main roster, WWE separated him from Scarlett and gave him an old-school gladiator gimmick, including an incredibly ridiculous helmet. Thus when talents were needed to be released to save money, he would find himself let go. Now though, he is back thanks to Triple H, and having worked with Drew McIntyre is now continuing to fulfill his promise by working with Rey Mysterio.
