Jon Moxley Reportedly Pushing For AEW To Sign Recently Available Free Agent

It became known last weekend that Sami Callihan’s Impact Wrestling contract was expiring at the end of September, and with that having passed, he is officially a free agent. And now it has been reported by Fightful Select that his longtime friend and former Switchblades tag team partner Jon Moxley has been pushing within AEW for the company to sign him. However, it is noted that based on the success of running his own independent promotion, Pro Wrestling Revolver, there is interest from other promotions in hiring him as a producer.

“Callihan has people pushing for him within All Elite Wrestling, namely Jon Moxley, who has long maintained a great relationship with Callihan. We’ve heard Sami’s name tossed around in producer roles for other companies as well, as he’s met success running Pro Wrestling Revolver as well.”

While 36-year-old Callihan did have a run in NXT under the name Solomon Crowe, he is best known to wrestling fans for his time in Impact Wrestling. Arguably, his most memorable run in the company came in 2019 when he had a lengthy feud with Tessa Blanchard involving the Impact World Championship. Additionally, he was prominently featured in Impact Wrestling’s working relationship with AEW when he worked a high-profile singles match with Kenny Omega at Slammiversary 2021.
