Over the last couple of weeks, AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has been trying to convince the number one contender for his AEW championship, Jon Moxley to join the Inner Circle.
Jericho last week would offer Moxley 49% of the Inner Circle to help him lead the stable. As well as a $750,000 Ford GT as an additional incentive to join.
Moxley this week gave his answer. He said he wants to dominate, and this group is the most powerful group in AEW. After saying they will be dominant for years to come, there was only one thing left to do, and that’s to pop open a little bit of the bubbly!
He would go on to reveal his “Inner Circle” shirt. As Jericho’s handed over the keys to the Ford GT, the crowd chanted “You Sold Out!”
As fellow Inner Circle members, Guevara and Hager head out of the ring. Moxley would bring the celebrations to a halt, saying that he forgot one final thing.
“I was just kidding, I would never join the Inner Circle, it’s a stupid group, you have nothing that I want. Except for that [title].”
He would hit Jericho over the head with a bottle of champagne, and followed up with a paradigm shift, he then hits a DDT on Guevara and leaves the ring before Hager can get to him.
