John Cena Pays Tribute To Dolph Ziggler Following His WWE Release

Dolph Ziggler was a huge part of WWE television over the years and achieved levels of success most wrestlers could only dream of. Nevertheless, he was deemed surplus to requirements by the company on Thursday and officially released. Now, though, longtime rival John Cena has taken the time to acknowledge his contributions by citing his television match count for the company. Showing just how significant his contribution was over his 19 years with WWE.

43-year-old Ziggler last wrestled in May, and given his name recognition, he appears the most likely of all recently released talents to sign with AEW. Especially when you consider his brother Ryan Nemeth is already in the company. However, with the 2 x World Heavyweight Champion having previously embarked into the world of standup comedy, his WWE release may lead to him embracing that industry completely.
