Jinder Mahal Denies He Was Fired Following Latest Batch Of WWE Talent Cuts

On Friday evening, news broke that WWE had released former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, Xia Li, Xyon Quinn, Veer, and Sanga. At present, it isn’t known if more cuts are due. However, Mahal has since taken to X to deny he was fired, claiming he actually quit the company, although Fightful Select denies this is the case and insists he was cut.

What the future holds for any of these talents remains to be seen, but following their 90-day non-complete concludes, it seems doubtful that Mahal will be AEW bound. That is because he publicly mocked the company by asking, “Who tf is Hook?” in a now-deleted tweet. Regarding the other talents, Xyon Quinn may be given an opportunity in AEW due to his wife, Harley Cameron, being employed by Tony Khan in addition to his former trainer, Chris Hero, being a producer, although that is far from guaranteed.
