During this week’s Rampage taping, which is set to air on Friday night, fans in attendance reported that Jeff Hardy was hurt after his opponent Sammy Guevera landed on his face during a shooting star press. And while there was some concern at the time Hardy was injured, he finished the match. However, it has now been reported by PWInsider.com that the former WWE star actually suffered a broken nose during the collision. It was also noted that whether he also sustained a concussion remains unknown.
“We are told Hardy suffered a broke nose in the spot and was rocked hard. Whether he suffered a concussion or not has not been confirmed.”
PWInsider.comSo far, Jeff Hardy’s AEW run has failed to live up to expectations, with a big part of this being down to his DUI arrest and subsequent spell in rehab derailing his momentum. Yet, in recent weeks, he has again been prominently featured, facing the likes of Darby Allin, Swerve Strickland, and Jon Moxley in lengthy matches. Therefore, all that can be hoped is that Hardy won’t be out for too long, as it would be a shame for him to fall down the pecking order again.
