While he is currently signed to a WWE Legends Contract, JBL isn’t just sitting back and enjoying his retirement. Instead, he has started to make surprise appearances for multiple promotions, seemingly teasing something much bigger. And now, after appearing for AAA, TNA, and GCW in recent weeks, the WWE Hall of Famer made his MLW debut on Saturday night.
This occurred during the tag match of CW Anderson and Brock Anderson vs. the Bomaye Fight Club, with JBL entering the ring, hitting a Clothesline From Hell on Mr. Thomas, and then whispering something to Arn Anderson’s son, Brock.
57-year-old JBL retired from full-time competition in 2009, although he would make a one-off appearance in the 2014 Royal Rumble match, which was the year Batista won. Yet, despite stepping away from the ring, he has remained associated with WWE ever since then, therefore, him making appearances for other wrestling promotions was very unexpected.
