Jack Perry Fully Embraces CM Punk Drama At Windy City Riot (w/Video)

Jack Perry is currently one of the world’s most spoken-about pro wrestlers after AEW aired the backstage footage of his All In altercation with CM Punk. And now, during Friday night’s New Japan Windy City Riot event, which took place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, he has fully leaned into the drama by not only coming to the ring with a “Cry Me A River” jacket but also adopting many of CM Punk’s mannerisms, even going as far as to attempt a GTS. However, he was ultimately defeated by his opponent, Shota Umino.

AEW suspended 26-year-old Perry because he antagonized CM Punk during the All In pre-show, which led to them fighting in the back. And while it was claimed that Tony Khan was unhappy with Perry for costing him one of his biggest stars, it should be noted that AEW’s head honcho was spotted in attendance to watch Perry’s first match in the States in eight months. However, with Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston both also appearing on the show, it’s possible he was there to see them.
