The rock and metal worlds have been mourning the loss of Ozzy Osbourne since his passing earlier this summer. While tributes have poured in for the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer from all walks of both music and pop culture, one classic rock artist clearly wasn’t a fan.
In a recent interview with The Independent, during a rant on a variety of both pop stars and celebrities, Pink Floyd leader Roger Waters said of Ozzy: “Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him in his, whatever that state that he was in his whole life, we’ll never know. He was all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense.”
It didn’t end there. Waters continued: “The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a f*ck. I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did. Have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”
The interview made enough rounds that it eventually got to Ozzy’s son, Jack, who addressed Waters’ comments online saying: “Hey @rogerwaters f*ck you. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bullsh*t in the press. My father always thought you were a c*nt — thanks for proving him right.” Jack ended his post with a clown emoji and the hashtag “#f*ckrogerwaters.”
