It Isn’t Only Online Fans Who Are Upset By The Rock Taking Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania Spot (w/Video)

The Rock is set to wrestle his first full match in over a decade at WrestleMania 40 against Roman Reigns. However, while this should be massively exciting and positive news, fans online have reacted negatively as it now appears that Cody Rhodes will miss out on “finishing his story,” which has been a focal part of WWE television. And now demonstrating it isn’t only fans on social media who are frustrated by this, over the weekend, fans at WWE’s house show in Knoxville booed the Hollywood star when he was shown on the big screen.

The Rock began wrestling for WWE back in 1996 after his football career failed to take off, and within a few years, he established himself as one of the biggest stars in the business. Then, thanks to his mainstream appeal, he would move into acting and, over time, become more well-known for his blockbuster film roles than his in-ring career. Yet, he never fully turned his back on the wrestling industry and is now in a position of power within WWE after recently joining the TKO board.
