Iron Maiden is wrapping up its Legacy Of The Beast World Tour this month in North America. The band released their “Senjutsu” album in September of 2021. Produced by Kevin Shirley and co-produced by bassist Steve Harris, the album marks the second consecutive double album for the band and it charted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

Maiden lead singer Bruce Dickinson has a history of admonishing fans that get out of line from the stage. In July at a concert in Greece as Maiden started “The Number Of The Beast,” a fan lit a flare which enraged Dickinson. “The c*nt with the f*cking flare, I’ve gotta sing up here,” he shouted into the microphone. “You f*cking c*cks*cker. You Greek c*nt. All right. I’ve gotta f*cking sing. All right. F*ck you.”

Dickinson apparently briefly left the stage in hopes the smoke would clear up, but when he returned, it appeared that he was still upset and having trouble getting back into the show, as he sang off time and was out of sync with the rest of the band.

Last month at the band’s show in Anaheim, California, Dickinson physically removed a fan that got on stage during the band’s closing song, “Aces High.” The fan got to the left side of the stage, dropped down to a knee and excitedly flashed the devil horns at guitarist Janick Gers and Dickinson. The singer motioned for the fan to come off before grabbing him by his hand and attempting to bring him to the back of the stage.

The fan, however, walked toward the center of the stage towards Harris, removed his cap and started head banging. An angry Dickinson then grabbed him by the back of his shirt and dragged him to the back of the stage where he was escorted off by Maiden security.

Unless specifically asked to be there, fans coming up on stage is a big no-no especially in the heavy metal world. Pantera guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott was tragically shot and killed while performing on stage at The Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio in 2004. “Dimebag” and three other people were killed by a 25-year-old ex-Marine, Nathan Gale, who charged the stage and opened fire on Damageplan and the audience before being killed himself by police officer James D. Niggemeyer.
