Back in 2018 at the Rock Allegiance show in New Jersey, Limp Bizkit had just performed their cover of George Michael’s “Faith” when Insane Clown Posse’s Shaggy 2 Dope attempted a stunt that soon went viral. Shaggy rushed the stage and attempted a dropkick on Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst. He missed, and security immediately hauled him offstage.

During a recent appearance on “Hot Ones Verses,” Shaggy explained alcohol and his love from professional wrestling fueled the ill-fated stunt. “Well, alcohol was involved,” he explained. “That was done as a work — wrestling work dropkick — I wasn’t actually trying to dropkick him for real. I don’t know why in my drunk brain, I just figured that he was also a wrestler and he’d know to ‘sell’ the move. He didn’t sell it… How he sold it was their security came out and choked me out onstage and dragged me out. I’ve apologized a million times over since. I feel like a dumb*ss of course for doing that sh*t.”

Video of the 2018 stunt can be seen below as well as ICP’s full appearance on “Hot Ones Verses” with metal legends GWAR.
