Another Impact Wrestling Talents Contract Set To Expire

Following on from the news that Deonna Purrazzo’s Impact Wrestling contract expires at the end of the year, it has also been reported by Fightful Select another talent could soon be departing the company. That is because Heath Slater, who goes simply by Heath nowadays, is set to become a free agent next month. The former WWE talent has been with Impact Wrestling since being let go by WWE in 2020 and since then has been treated as a featured singles performer as well as a tag partner for Rhino.

“Fightful Select has learned that Heath Miller, who simply goes by Heath in IMPACT Wrestling, will be a free agent in October as things stand right now. Heath’s deal with IMPACT expires at that time, and a new one has yet to be reached.”

40-year-old Heath is best known to wrestling fans for his run in WWE between 2006 and 2020. His big break came in 2010 when he and seven other developmental talents were put together to form the Nexus, a dominating heel group looking to take over the company. And while the stable was heavily pushed for a time following their breakup, Slater would become just another member of the roster, going from gimmick to gimmick, with his time as part of 3MB likely being the most memorable of his post-Nexus run.
