GoFundMe Launched For AEW Audio Technician

GoFundMe Launched For AEW Audio Technician

Hurricane Ian has been one of the biggest news stories in recent days, with the destructive force hitting the US. And unfortunately, it would also become a story in pro wrestling because so many wrestlers and promotion employees are based in Flordia, where a state of emergency was issued. This actually prompted Tony Khan to make it known to talent and staff that they could skip the latest taping if they had concerns or were struggling to get a flight.

However, while it’s believed most were fine, it’s sadly been confirmed that Dennis Bowe, who works as an audio technician for AEW, lost his home. Therefore a GoFundMe has been set up by his mother, and so far, over $30,000 has been raised, with Tony Khan, Chris Jericho, Nick Jackson, Dr. Britt Baker, Adam Cole, and Kevin Owens all having made donations.

I was staying at my son’s house with my daughter in law, 2 grandsons and 2 dog on Wednesday night because of the hurricane Ian and a little after 10pm we had a power surge and then heard a boom and the next thing we knew the house was on fire. We were able to get out ok including the dogs and grandkids. The fire was put out by the fire department and neighbors took us in while we figured out where to stay. In the morning the house caught fire again and did even more damage. My son had to work out of town and wasn’t there but was able to fly in today and asses the damage and he took some pictures and showed us that it is completely destroyed. If anyone can help get them back on there feet until they can rebuild and get back to a normal life it would be much appreciated. Thank you

This is obviously a terrible catastrophe for the Bowe family, although it’s incredible to see how the AEW community has rallied around their colleague in his time of need. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but there is clearly a great deal for the Bowe family to deal with in the coming weeks and months, so if you are in a position to contribute to the campaign, you can do so at gofundme.com/f/fire-at-my-sons-house-and-they-lost-everything.
