GoFundMe Launched After The Sudden Death Of AEW’s Maya World’s Brother

AEW star Maya World is currently facing unimaginable grief after the sudden passing of her younger brother, Jatwane Wilson, on June 7, 2026. Jatwane, who was just one year her junior, played a pivotal role in her journey by introducing her to the sport she now calls home. Therefore, a GoFundMe has been started seeking $4,000 to cover funeral expenses and provide a dignified farewell for her beloved brother. With over $1,000 already raised by 21 generous donors, she has vowed to dedicate every future milestone in her career to his lasting memory.

Hello, my name is Dashundra Wilson, i’m the older sister of Jatwane Wilson. In the early morning of June 7th, 2026, my family life had forever been altered unknowingly. Around 3am our grandmother was notified by a state trooper that my brothers life was tragically ended. As this comes unexpectedly, we’re starting a fund for funeral arrangements to give my brother the proper burial he deserves, being so loved by so many. Absolutely ANYTHING helps, and will go towards easing the unexpected expenses my family is now facing. Thank you in advance.” – Dashundra Wilson

Born Ashanti Wilson-Stevenson, Maya World fell in love with wrestling at a young age thanks to her brother. She made her professional debut in August 2022 after training under Lou Gotti and Athena, quickly earning recognition on the Texas independent scene. From there, she appeared for AEW on Collision in July 2024 against Thunder Rosa and soon became a regular for the ROH before officially signing with AEW alongside her tag partner Hyan in December 2025. Now a full-time member of the AEW women’s division, the talented 23-year-old continues to shine with her athleticism and charisma
