On Tuesday night, the horrific news broke that Jay Briscoe had died in a car crash along with another person believed to be in a different vehicle. Subsequently, it came out that his daughters had also been traveling with him, and both had been injured. And now the men behind a fundraiser to help the family has provided an update on both sisters.
First, revealing that Briscoe’s eldest daughter Gracie, suffered a fracture of her L3 and L5 and has no movement below her knees. She underwent surgery at 3 am on Wednesday, and since it’s a spinal issue, it is a waiting game. Additionally, Briscoe’s youngest daughter Jayleigh suffered a C7 break in her neck, a broken leg, an injury to her lower spine, a broken rib, and a perforated bowel. She underwent surgery on Thursday for her broken leg, but thankfully the neck and spine injuries do not require surgery.
Hopefully, both sisters can make a full recovery, and with massive medical costs expected, it is fantastic to see that the fundraiser set up by the men who provided the update has already made $171,000 as of writing. With a look at the top donors revealing a who’s who of wrestling, with names like Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks, Kevin Steen, Dax Harwood, Jim Cornette, Peyton Royce, Shawn Spears, Cody, and Brandi Rhodes all giving generously.
