Sammy Guevara, unfortunately, suffered a concussion at WrestleDream at the start of October and has been out of action ever since. However, despite recently saying on his Instagram Stories that he hasn’t yet been cleared to compete, it now appears his return to the ring is fast approaching. That is because his close friend Fuego Del Sol has revealed during an interview with Muscle Man Malcolm that his comeback is imminent.

“He is feeling a lot better, and his return is imminent. I definitely thought he was gonna be on Dynamite recently in that 8-Man Street Fight. However, he wasn’t back yet, but I know he wants to come back in a major way.”

30-year-old Guevara is an AEW original, having debuted at the promotion’s inaugural event, Double or Nothing, in 2019 against Kip Sabian. He would go on to become part of Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle during the premiere episode of AEW Dynamite later that year, and since then, he has been treated as a featured performer, holding the TNT Championship three times and the Interim TNT Championship once. Still, his recent heel turn and current storyline with Jericho and Don Callis looked set to propel him to new heights, and it can only be hoped that his absence doesn’t result in him losing his push.
