Former WWE Talent Says They’d Probably Have Re-Signed If Triple H Had Been In Charge At The Time

Last week it was announced that Triple H had become Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, and then after Vince McMahon surprisingly retired, he would also become head of creative. For some, this news is considered a game changer, with fans saying on social media saying they have far more faith in the product improving under Triple H than with McMahon. Additionally, it appears wrestlers may feel the same, as according to Fightful Select, an unnamed former WWE talent who now works for AEW has told them he may have re-signed when his deal was up had Triple H had the same roles back then.

I’m glad that I went to AEW, but if I was graduating to a Triple H-led SmackDown or Raw, I probably would have re-signed with WWE before my deal was up.

Unnamed Former WWE Wrestler

For obvious reasons, Fightful didn’t reveal which wrestler said this. Still, the speculation is it was either Adam Cole or Kyle O’Reilly due to them being pushed when part of Triple H’s NXT and then opting to depart the company when their contracts expired. But, of course, the more significant issue is that for the first time in several years, when wrestlers have a straight choice between WWE and AEW, they may now pick WWE simply due to the Triple H effect.
