In early February, news broke that WWE had released several talents, including one-half of the Unholy Union, Isla Dawn. This departure was particularly unexpected, as she had just taped a match for WWE Speed against Shotzi, so it was believed that she was still in the company’s plans.
However, it now appears the Scottish wrestler could soon become the latest former WWE talent to become All Elite as WrestleVotes is reporting she’s expected to begin working shows for AEW “in the very near future.”
31-year-old Dawn, real name Courtney Stewart, broke into the business back in 2013, with her first official match being against fellow Scottish wrestler Nikki Cross of the Wyatt Sicks. From there, she became a regular on the UK indie scene before getting her big break via Stardom in Japan. Thus, when WWE decided to launch NXT UK in 2019, it was no surprise to see her sign a contract and work against names like Toni Storm, Rhea Ripley, and Lyra Valkyria.
