While getting signed by WWE is tough, remaining employed can be just as challenging, with only a handful of main-event talents deemed irreplaceable. And now, demonstrating how quickly a career can end, after being released by WWE as part of budget cuts in 2021 and subsequently only wrestling a dozen indie dates, it’s been reported Tucker Knight has retired. This was revealed by Dr. Chris Featherstone of Sportskeeda on X, who confirmed the former tag team specialist is instead focusing on being a high school wrestling coach.
34-year-old Tucker, real name Levi Rolla Cooper, signed with WWE in 2013 after graduating college and received his big break three years later when he partnered with Otis as Heavy Machinery. And while it appeared the duo was set for long-term tag team success after impressing in NXT, they would end up separated on the main roster, with WWE seemingly being more interested in pushing Otis than the duo as a team.
