Former WWE Tag Team Champion Is Almost Unrecognizable In Latest Photo

Prior to WrestleMania 34, Braun Strowman earned a Raw Tag Team Championship title shot against Sheamus and Cesaro, collectively known as The Bar, on the big show. However, Raw’s then-General Manager Kurt Angle insisted Strowman had a partner on the night, leading to much speculation on who Strowman would select.

Shockingly, Strowman would go on to pick a 10-year-old child named Nicholas from the crowd and effectively won the titles singlehandedly, making Nicholas WWE’s youngest-ever champion. And now, almost six years later, a current photo of Nicholas has been shared online, showing the teenager looking very different.

For those unaware, Nicholas is the son of WWE referee and Senior Manager of Talent Relations John Cone, and therefore, clearly wasn’t picked out of the crowd at random on the night. Nevertheless, it remains one of WWE’s most shockingly controversial moments, with some going as far as to say the company killed their tag division in that one moment. And while it certainly isn’t a highlight for pro wrestling purists, the fact that The Usos vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn headlined night 1 of WrestleMania 39 proves those claims were exaggerated.
