Former WWE Star Taking Break From Impact Wrestling

It was recently noticed that five-time Impact Knockout Champion Mickie James was no longer listed on the promotion’s official website. This sparked a lot of conversation online regarding her status, and now it has been reported by PWInsider.com that she is taking a break from the company. Yet, it was noted the relationship between both signs remains fine, seemingly leaving the door open.

“In speaking with Impact sources, we are told that the relationship between the two sides remains fine but James is taking what was described to PWInsider as “a break” from the company.”

The former WWE star returned to Impact Wrestling for a third time at Slammiversary 2021 and would go on to win the Impact Knockouts Championship for the fourth time and fifth time during this run. However, this time with the promotion is most likely best remembered by fans for her being part of the WWE’s women’s Royal Rumble match, entering the match with her championship belt and lasting 12 minutes. At present, her final match for the promotion took place at Bound For Glory in October when she put over Trinity, better known as Naomi in WWE.
