Nic Nemeth, better known as Dolph Ziggler, is currently proving there is life after WWE, having wrestled for TNA, AAA, GCW, and New Japan so far this year. And now, demonstrating that he remains as fan-friendly as ever, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has participated in a Q&A session on X, where he opened up about his time with the company.
During this, Nemeth would be asked about his favorite ring gear from this time in his career, disclosing that he had pants that featured Lana’s face airbrushed on them, although he would note that they were banned after just one appearance. Why they were prohibited wasn’t explained, although perhaps it was deemed inappropriate to have a woman’s face on his crotch at the time.
Including his time in developmental, Nic Nemeth spent 19 years with WWE and obviously had many storylines during this time. On occasion, they would include romantic angles, given his good looks and appeal to women. One such example of this was when he had an on-screen affair with Lana, also known as CJ Perry, which is where the aforementioned pants are from. However, due to TMZ reporting that Lana had gotten engaged to her then-real-life partner Rusev, Vince McMahon dropped the angle altogether, feeling it had been spoilt by fans finding out Nemeth and Lana weren’t really a couple.
