Former WWE Star Expected To Return To The Company

WWE suspended Sasha Banks and Naomi in May 2022 after they walked out of a television taping due to unhappiness with their creative. Subsequently, both women eventually left the promotion and adopted new names before joining New Japan and Impact Wrestling, respectively. And now it has been reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful that following recent speculation Banks is set to join AEW, Naomi is expected to make her return to WWE, where her husband, Jimmy Uso, works.

“Sources within WWE and IMPACT tell Fightful Select they expect Trinity Fatu aka Naomi to return to WWE, barring unforeseen circumstances. WWE has long had major interest in bringing her back.”

Prior to her departure from the company, Naomi, who now goes by the name Trinty, had been with WWE for over a decade after signing a WWE developmental contract in 2009 and initially wrestling for FCW before it became known as NXT. Her main roster call-up would come three years later when she was introduced as Funkadactyl valet alongside Brodus Clay. However, she would far surpass him in terms of fame and in-ring recognition over the years by twice holding the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.
