Former WCW Wrestler LA Park Injured After Top Rope Breaks During Match (w/Video)

Over the weekend, a video of LA Park landing hard on the floor after the top ring rope broke began to spread on social media. Unfortunately, following this, the former WCW wrestler was unable to continue in the match, and now Dave Meltzer has subsequently reported that the legendary luchador suffered a leg injury, although the severity of the injury is currently unknown.

58-year-old LA Park is still best known to wrestling fans for his time wrestling under the name La Parka; however, he famously had to stop being called that in 2003 after AAA gave the name and gimmick to another performer. Later, this would be turned into a storyline, and the two wrestlers would headline Triplemanía XVIII against each other. Yet, while it was thought at the time the original La Parka would get to resume using the name after his victory, the result was ultimately thrown out.
