Former TNA Wrestler Comments After Making His AEW Debut

AEW will regularly bring in unsigned talents unannounced to appear in dark matches or on their ROH shows, and a name now added to this list is former TNA wrestler Crazzy Steve. The 40-year-old Canadian would put over Serpentico in a match before Wednesday night’s Dynamite, and interestingly, his name was spelled “Crazy” instead of “Crazzy” on his entrance graphic. Whether this indicates a name change or an error was made is unclear, but Steve would take to X after the show to thank fans and the promotion, likely hoping it isn’t his last time in an AEW ring.

Despite being nearly blind, Crazzy Steve, real name Steven Scott, has always been highly praised for his ring work, having broken into the business in 2003. And while it would take him over a decade, he would make it to national television when he joined TNA in 2014, appearing as part of The Menagerie stable alongside Mike Knux, Rob Terry, and Rebel. This would lead to him having a WWE tryout in 2017, although he wasn’t signed, and he eventually returned to TNA, where he would achieve his career highlight when winning the Digital Media Championship from Tommy Dreamer.
