Former Impact Wrestling Star To Make WWE Debut During Tonight’s SmackDown

Nick Aldis finished with Impact Wrestling three months ago and soon afterward began working as a backstage producer for WWE. This surprised many fans at the time as the 36-year-old has no known serious injuries and is considered one of the top in-ring performers in the world. However, it has now been reported by PWInsider.com that the Englishman is set to make his WWE television debut during this week’s SmackDown, although the current plan is for him to be an authority figure rather than a wrestler.

“Former NWA World Champion Nick Aldis will make his official WWE TV debut tonight, PWInsider.com has learned. Aldis will be portraying an authority figure for the Smackdown brand going forward, which means he’s likely signed with the company.”

Aldis, who is known to many for being the husband of Mickie James, is a former TNA World Champion and NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion and has been in the business since 2004. Nevertheless, his big break so far has eluded him, although that could be about to change depending on how well he performs in his new role.
