Melodic death metal outfit Arch Enemy announced late last year that they were parting ways with their vocalist of more than a decade Alissa White-Gluz. The band posted: “Arch Enemy have parted ways with singer Alissa White-Gluz. We’re thankful for the time and music we’ve shared and wish her all the best. Wherever there is an ending, there is also a beginning. See you in 2026.”

The split led to rumors that the band might be rejoined by their former vocalist and current manager Angela Gossow. Both Arch Enemy and Gossow shared a teaser video with a mysterious figure holding up a torch with the caption “2026.”

Another teaser video was released shortly after, and Gossow took to her social media to clarify that she is not rejoining the band in a performing capacity. “It’s not ME! But thank you for all the love!” she wrote. “I am really excited to be involved in this new chapter as the manager. This is gonna CRUSH!”

Gossow previously said of her decision to step down as the band’s singer: “There’s a time and place for everything. I started out in 1991. I was simply losing the joy to be doing this, living a life on the road. So I decided to step down rather than pretending.”
