Former AEW Wrestler Is TNA-Bound

Recently, it was revealed that Mike Santana had officially left AEW, having been with the promotion since 2019. While this would come as a significant career blow to most wrestlers, Santana was disgruntled during his short singles run with the promotion due to not being regularly featured. However, it now appears he has a fresh opportunity to be a lone star, as according to Fightful Select, he is returning to TNA, although when wasn’t confirmed.

“According to sources, TNA Wrestling is planning on bringing in Mike Santana.”

33-year-old Santana was previously considered a tag team specialist. Yet, he opted to become a singles competitor after he and longtime tag partner Ortiz fell out in real life for undisclosed personal reasons. Although since returning from injury last August, he only had two singles matches in AEW, instead wrestling on independent shows against names like Matt Cardona and Josh Alexander.
