Film Critic Confirms How Big MJF’s Role In ‘The Iron Claw’ Is

The upcoming A24 movie “The Iron Claw,” starring Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron as Kevin Adkisson, is the tale of the famed Von Erich wrestling family and their suspected curse. It is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 22, 2023, and it’s been known for some time that MJF is also set to feature as Lance Von Erich, the kayfabe cousin of the Von Erich brothers. However, in news that will disappoint some fans, it’s been confirmed by film critic Siddhant Adlakha that the current AEW Champion only appears in one scene.

For those unaware, Lance Von Erich was William Vaughan, who competed previously under the ring name Ricky Vaughn. He was introduced to World Class Championship Wrestling by the patriarch of the Von Erich family, Fritz, in October 1985, with it claimed Fritz’s kayfabe brother Waldo was Lance’s father. This was brought on by Mike Von Erich’s inability to wrestle due to toxic shock syndrome and the other brothers’ exhaustion from wrestling multiple matches per day. However, the rest of the family strongly opposed misleading fans by claiming Lance was a relative.
