The second day of the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky got scrapped due to the remnants of Hurricane Helene. “Throughout the day there were moments where it seemed possible, but in the end, Mother Nature won this round,” organizers said following the cancelation on Friday.
Day 3 was back on for Saturday, and Day 1 beat most of the inclement weather but wasn’t without a few issues, one involving Five Finger Death Punch singer Ivan Moody. The singer shared via his Instagram that he was on the mend after suffering a fall through the stage.
“After the adrenaline wore off this morning I woke up… and I’ve got a bruise that’s running down from the inside of my armpit down to my knee, and my hand feels like its shattered… look at that,” said Moody in the video, showing off his hand injuries. “You gotta be f*cking kidding me,” he continued. It’s always something, man. Well, I will say this much, it was worth it.”
Fozzy was scheduled to play Day 2, but the band’s set was called off at the last minute. Singer Chris Jericho made the most of his time in Kentucky, however, meeting with some fans and also meeting up with Moody. “Been a rough couple of days, but it got better when I just ran into my bro @ivanmoody!” Jericho wrote. “We got thwarted by Mother Nature yesterday at @louderthanlifefest , but he got thwarted by faulty construction when he FELL THROUGH THE STAGE and broke ribs on Thursday at #LouderThanLife! But he’s a tough mofo and I’m sure he will be killing it onstage w @5fdp again soon!”
