On Wednesday night, WWE commentator and occasional wrestler Pat McAfee held a variety show at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, which featured multiple guests. Among those was Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso, and while it made sense for him to be there to promote his WrestleMania 41 match with current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, some fans believe McAfree may have spoiled the bout’s result.
This is because the former football player would introduce Uso by saying, “Next weekend, you will become the World Heavyweight Champion,” seemingly confirming he will beat the Austrian for the belt.
Whether McAfee accidentally revealed the match result or was just hyping up Uso isn’t clear. However, many fans online are unhappy, believing the result of one of the biggest matches on the show has been spoiled. Still, with plans in WWE regularly being altered, even if McAfee did disclose the result, that could change. However, if it’s changed because of McAfee’s words, it will greatly disappoint Uso and his supporters, given that he has never been a world champion as a single performer.
