Mr. Iguana looks set for WWE stardom after grabbing WWE fans’ attention at last month’s World Collide show thanks to his unique look and toy iguana. However, it is understood that he has already created some heat for himself with management after revealing that he was heading straight to the main roster during an interview that he subsequently had to beg to get edited.
And now, in a situation that could further disappoint management, one eagle-eyed fan on social media has spotted that Mr. Iguana follows “The Hub” on X, which certainly doesn’t align with WWE’s family-friendly product.
36-year-old Mr. Iguana, whose real name is Santiago Ibarra Calderón, initially entered the business in 2009. After gaining some level of fame through wrestling matches for CMLL in 2015, he went on to perform for their biggest rivals, AAA, in 2018. This would see AAA become his home promotion, and thanks to TKO’s acquisition of the lucha libre company, he could end up being the most surprising WWE Superstar ever.
