Social media has been buzzing since an eagle-eyed fan spotted that Shawn Michaels had liked a negative tweet about Stephanie McMahon. And while it makes for a good story for the two-time WWE Hall of Famer and current NXT booker to have an unfavorable opinion towards a McMahon family member, it now appears it was simply a mistake. This is because Nick Hausman of HausofWrestling.com has reported that it was merely an “errant like” by someone who helps with Michaels’ social media, which makes sense considering his longstanding friendship with Triple H.
Except for a one-year period when he was fired, Michaels has been associated with WWE since 1987 and twice inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame. Therefore, it always seemed far-fetched he would purposely disrespect Stephanie McMahon, and this is now an example of why fans shouldn’t get too carried away with what happens on social media, especially when it comes to celebrities who often have social media managers running their accounts.
