Edge Appears To Be Finished With WWE Following Updated SmackDown Intro (w/Video)

Edge last wrestled for WWE during the 18th of August of SmackDown, and since then, there has been a great deal of speculation regarding his future, with it known his contract was expiring. And now, following this Friday night’s episode of SmackDown, it appears his time with the company has come to an end as he has been removed from the show’s opening.

While not confirmed, Edge is strongly rumored to be AEW-bound, and many fans anticipate him debuting as soon as WrestleDream on Sunday. However, it should be noted that as Edge’s contract officially expires at the end of September, it wouldn’t allow much time for him to negotiate with Tony Khan before signing. Still, where there’s a will, there’s a way, and it has been proven multiple times in wrestling that anything is possible.
