EC3 has addressed the concern sparked by a viral video from an independent wrestling show in which he limped during his entrance and appeared to struggle physically. After the footage spread across social media, fans questioned the former TNA and WWE star’s health. However, EC3 has since responded on X, explaining that the clip was taken during his second match of the day after extensive travel and disrupted sleep. He also noted that he was intentionally selling an existing leg injury, emphasizing that portraying physical wear is a fundamental part of professional wrestling.
“The clip making the rounds is from my second match of the day, after a 4:00 a.m. wake-up, international travel, layover airport cardio, multiple flights, pull-day training upon landing, and an entrance where I’m intentionally selling an already tender leg. Selling. Professional wrestling is built on communicating consequence. If one is beat up, tired, or protecting a body part, the intent is to show it. Travel, disrupted sleep, altered meal timing, hydration changes and hours of sitting also tend to throw your digestive system completely off schedule.” – EC3
Additionally, EC3’s explanation has been backed by longtime friend Rockstar Spud, who said he contacted him after seeing the video from an ASW Canada event and was told the wrestler was dealing with a legitimate leg injury, as well as the effects of travel, dehydration, and an irregular routine. While the clip prompted widespread concern, both EC3 and Spud maintained that important context was missing from the viral footage, reassuring fans that what they saw reflected genuine pro wrestling storytelling alongside genuine physical limitations.
