Downstait Teases Plans With Cody Rhodes For WrestleMania 40

Downstait’s song, “Kingdom,” has become synonymous with the entrance of WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes. Rhodes is set to face Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 40 for the Undisputed Universal Championship, and Rhodes will also partner with Seth Rollins to take on Reigns and The Rock at The Showcase of the Immortals.

Downstait have crafted entrance music for Rhodes, Nic Nemeth/Dolph Ziggler and The Miz, among others, and the band previously teased that they would make a big announcement on April 5, the day before Wrestlemania. Lead singer Zack Call was recently asked about his Wrestlemania 40 plans, and all signs appear to point to Downstait performing live at the event.

“So we’re gonna leave that to our announcement on 4-5-24 and all of our teasers,” Call told Steve Fall. “We’ll have to wait and see what’s going on there. I can tell you this. I will be in Philadelphia WrestleMania weekend.”

Downstait previously played “Kingdom” for Rhodes’ entrance at AEW Revolution four years ago. That video can be seen below along with Call’s full interview.
