Since turning heel and joining Judgment Day, Dominik Mysterio’s WWE career has really taken off, and a big part of that is due to him leaning into his Eddie Guerrero connection with various mannerisms, taunts, and calling Rhea Ripley “Mami.” And now the rookie sensation revealed while appearing on the Cheap Heat podcast that he did seek permission from Vickie Guerrero about emulating the late great Eddie Guerrero. With her not only approving but also loving what he is doing.
Being able to talk to Vickie, it’s been little things here and there. She’ll reach out and be like, “I love what you’re doing.” I’ll reach out to her and go, “Hey, hopefully, this is okay.” Little things like that. I just never want any problems with the Guerrero family. It’s all love and respect at the end of the day. Even before [the storyline] started, I asked someone in WWE if I could reach out to Vickie and ask her, “Is this okay?”
