Details For New Beavis And Butt-Head Movie Revealed (W/Video)
The official Beavis and Butt-Head Facebook page posted a promotional clip this week and revealed that the pair will return with an exclusive movie, “Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe.

Heavy metal-loving teenagers “Beavis And Butt-Head” are making their return soon to Paramount+. In early January, the show’s creator Mike Judge tweeted a sketch of the duo as older adults which led to fan speculation of how they would appear in their first full-length film since “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America” in 1996. The official Beavis and Butt-Head Facebook page posted a new promotional clip this week and revealed that the pair will return with an exclusive movie, “Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe,” in July followed by brand-new episodes.

The AV Club reports that in the new movie the teens will don helmets, shoot into outer space and enter a black hole. “In perhaps the dumbest space movie ever made, Beavis and Butt-Head are sentenced to Space Camp by a “creative” judge in 1998,” reads the synopsis. “Their obsession with a docking simulator (huh huh) leads to a trip on the Space Shuttle, with predictably disastrous results. After going through a black hole, they reemerge in our time, where they look for love, misuse iPhones, and are hunted by the Deep State. Spoiler: They don’t score.”

In addition to heading to space, all of Beavis and Butt-Head’s earthbound exploits will also be available on Paramount+, with the network adding a new series and 200 remastered episodes of the MTV series to the service. In the latest teaser from Paramount+, numerous personalities from the network appear on a giant mountain of ice unable to walk across a pass due to a giant crack in the ice. You can guess what joke they made. About a month ago, Judge also announced that he and co-creator Greg Daniels would be bringing back “King of the Hill.”

“Beavis and Butt-Head” ran for seven seasons from 1993 to 1997. During its initial run, the show received widespread critical acclaim for its satirical, scathing commentary on society. Judge previously stated: “I like to keep the door open on Beavis and Butt-Head, because it’s my favorite thing that I’ve ever done. It’s the thing I’m most proud of.”
