Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has never been afraid to voice his opinion on subjects he’s passionate about, especially on his Twitter account. Recently, a Twitter user accused Snider and Sebastian Bach of being divisive. The claim was made in response to a tweet by Disturbed frontman David Draiman who wrote: “Music brings people together. Some colleagues of mine seem to forget that. It should be used to cross boundaries, not create them. Concerts are a time for people to forget about the politics that our ‘leaders’ insist divide them.”
The user responded: “So true. Sebastian Bach is about as divisive as it gets.. same with Dee Snider.“ That didn’t sit well with Snider. “Oh yeah, that one time you were at my show and… You were never at one of my shows!” Snider responded. “If you were, you’d know I never talk politics on stage or in concert. Here on Twitter, I express my personal points of view. Never in concert. You d*ck (Just my personal point of view on you).”
Snider recently headlined the Rokisland Fest in Key West, Florida, and his fifth solo album, “Leave A Scar,” was released last July via Napalm Records. The album was produced by Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta. Snider commented on what it’s like working with Jasta as a producer in a Web Is Jericho exclusive last year. “I only knew him for Hatebreed, and I thought, “Is he gonna try to make me into Hatebreed 2?” Snider said. “There’s no melody in his songs, and yet here he was on “For The Love Of Metal,” coming up with great melodies. He’s really smart. He respects and appreciates all forms of metal, even though he’s from a hardcore world. He gets it. He took the time to study my lyrics and make sure that as an artist, I was singing words that would mean something to me.”
