D-Von Dudley Denies Triple H Threatened To Fire Him Prior To His WWE Departure

D-Von Dudley recently departed WWE, where he had been working as a backstage producer, by mutual decision. Nevertheless, some suspected there could be more to the situation after it had come out that his appearance at a Battleground Championship Wrestling event had been canceled, and it had been claimed he’d been threatened with being fired if he attended.

Now though, the WWE Hall of Famer has shot down those claims, in an interview with Wrestling News Premium, saying he has no issues with Triple H and he was not threatened with termination. However, he wouldn’t go into more detail regarding the circumstances of why his appearance was canceled at the latest minute.

Let me just say this. No issues with Triple H. Triple H did not threaten to fire me. What a lot of people don’t know is I did not speak to Hunter directly during that, but no, he did not threaten to fire me. It was just again, you know, miscommunication on the dirt sheet writers or whatever, but that was not the case. Again, I can’t really go into detail right now.

What’s next for D-Von remains to be seen; however, anyone hoping to see him return to the ring alongside longtime tag partner Bully Ray is set for disappointment. This is because D-Von cannot wrestle, as 12 months ago, he revealed he’d had his spine shifted and now has screws and a plate in his back. Consequently, even a minor bump could endanger his long-term health.
