Following his recent return to the company, he made a global sensation, it was claimed Vince McMahon’s only goal was to broker a sale. In fact, talents were reassured by Triple H himself that he would remain head of creative, which eased a lot of tension. Now though, it has been reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select that an unnamed talent has told him they believe McMahon is back involved in creative. Which, if accurate, may very well explain why Sami Zayn didn’t become WWE Universal Champion despite an outpouring of fan support.
There has been speculation that McMahon doesn’t intend to sell the company due to asking for seven times the company’s annual sales, a whopping $9 billion. And if that is the case, he may have just floated the sale idea so he could resume his previous roles before the hush money scandal. Of course, that would be incredibly deceptive, and it’s questionable whether McMahon would come up with such a scheme given the potential repercussions for shareholders.
