When Kamille signed with AEW and subsequently aligned with Mercedes Moné, it appeared the pair would dominate the women’s division before eventually separating and feuding. And while that could still happen, the fact that the former NWA wrestler hasn’t appeared on AEW television since the November 30 episode of Rampage, where she was mysteriously attacked, has left some fearing her long-term future may not be with the company.

Still, after online speculation really ramped up in recent weeks after Kamille refused to comment on her AEW status while promoting the movie “Queen of the Ring,” Tony Khan has now confirmed that she remains All Elite. This would be disclosed during his recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, with AEW’s head-honcho going as far as to tease her return by saying, “When Kamille does return to get payback for that attack, it’ll be interesting to see who she goes after.

“We don’t know who attacked Kamille, and the last time we saw her, she was attacked. We know she had a breakup with Mercedes Mone in their business relationship. Mercedes is flourishing since then. She’s done really well on her own. But Kamille, we haven’t seen her since she was attacked, and we’re not sure what that was and what that was about. I do think that’s an interesting thought for sure, and it’s something to keep an eye on, but that would be a great matchup. When Kamille does return to get payback for that attack, it’ll be interesting to see who she goes after.”Tony Khan

32-year-old Kamille, real name Kailey Latimer, first attempted to break into the business in 2016 by literally just turning up at WWE’s Performance Center and asking for a tryout. Still, despite obviously having athletic ability and a great look, she would be told the company only wanted people who had some experience. Therefore, she began training at the Team 3D Wrestling Academy, and from there, she joined the NWA, where she established herself as one of the top female wrestlers outside of a major promotion thanks to an 812-day reign as the NWA Women’s World Champion.
