With AEW in Detroit this week, the decision was made to book hometown hero Rhino to wrestle Nick Wayne on Dynamite. However, as the TNA Hall of Famer did some local media for AEW and also got a big reaction, some fans online have wondered whether he may have been offered an AEW contract. And while that could still happen, Fightful Select has reported that Rhino isn’t officially All Elite.
At present, it’s actually believed Rhino is contracted to Billy Corgan’s NWA promotion. Yet, since the company doesn’t typically offer long-term deals, it may be a short-term agreement. Therefore, the 49-year-old former ECW Champion could be available for some of the seven straight shows AEW has scheduled for the ECW arena later this year, which would be fitting.
