Confirmation of AEW Newcomer’s Injury On Dynamite

Jake Doyle, formerly known as Jake Something in TNA, unfortunately, was hurt during the January 28, 2026, episode of Dynamite. The injury occurred midway through a World Tag Team Championship match against FTR, when he took an apron DDT from Cash Wheeler while gripping the top rope. At the time, Doyle could be heard saying he had torn his biceps, which F4Wonline.com’s Bryan Alvarez has since verified. Recovery time for a torn bicep varies, but Doyle will likely be out for a minimum of six months.

36-year-old Doyle debuted in 2010 on the independent circuit, capturing multiple indie belts like the AAW Heavyweight Championship, AAW Heritage Championship, and multiple Glory Pro reigns. Then, during two TNA runs, he started as Cousin Jake in The Deaners tag team before becoming Jake Something in 2021. However, it appeared his career was set to take off when he signed with AEW in early January and joined the Don Callis Family faction.
